IT IS NOT TOO LATE—IT WON’T TAKE LONG—WE JUST HAVE TO GET IT STARTED

While we are spreading the word that impeachment is absolutely what the country needs to start the recovery process from the damage inflicted on us by Bush & Cheney, we are constantly hearing, “It’s too late”, “there’s not enough time”, and “they’ll be out of office soon enough anyway”—wrong, wrong, and wrong!!!

Folks, as we at GRIM and other impeachment advocates continue to do our ‘jobs’, here’s how it’s gonna go down:

  1. Because of our constant and relentless prodding, Congress will start impeachment proceedings.
  2. Impeachment investigations will ‘trump’ the Administration’s shield of Executive Privilege. The real reasons for their unprecedented veil of secrecy will surface—self preservation—hiding their lies.

Hello Jim,

My name is on the listserve. I just want to say that I am a US citizen living in Mexico.

There are about 4,000 USA citizens who live here in this town. I am trying to get people involved in the impeachment effort. We have a Democrats Abroad group here and we will be organizing a public forum for Oct.

I just want to tell GRIM that being on your site has been very helpful in my efforts. I have gotten good postings with news and ideas. The greatest one was yesterday. I think it was GRIM that posted the John Conyers news....good news!

LAST CALL FOR DEMOCRACY, Y’ALL

It’s always best to be proactive and try to prevent disaster than to wait for a disaster and then respond—not exactly a profound statement. We can maintain our infrastructure or we can respond to failures. Improperly maintained bridges can collapse and they can be replaced [if only the lost lives could be recovered]. Failures almost always leave room for recovery regardless of how disastrous, expensive, or painful it may be.

UNRULY KIDS IN A RESTAURANT

Think about the times you’ve been in a restaurant and some kids are running around, screeching, or fondling the food on the buffet. Your first reaction is to be really ticked at the kids; then you think, “Wait a minute, who’s really responsible here? Who are the parents that are allowing this?” The kids aren’t really to blame. Then your anger is rightfully aimed at the parents; and, if you can spot them, you give them a stern look of disapproval.

Frivolous, Fraudulent Invocation of EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE, Anyone?

Since you’re at this site, you’ve probably been paying attention and you’re probably disgusted, if not absolutely out-raged, at the Bush Administration’s refusal to be accountable to anyone or anything—not to the American People; not to Congress; not to International Law; not to our Constitution; and not even to our own Courts.

Presidential Pardons are certainly not a rarity. The recent commutation of prison time for Scooter Libby by Mr. Bush, however, was the first time in our nation’s history that any kind of clemency was granted to someone who was a potential key witness against the president granting it.

HOW BAD IS THE TERRORIST THREAT?

……Very Bad!

Yes, unfortunately, there are those who want to harm us and there have been for decades. They are spread out all over the world including right here in the USA. This threat will always be there; we can’t eliminate it. We can increase the threat; or we can reduce the threat—that much is in our hands. It’s time to vigorously protest the White House rants that if you’re not in support of the President’s ‘tactics’ on terrorism, then you’re unaware of or in denial of the threat.

Actually, Mr. Bush, we are very well aware of the threat; BUT you, Mr. Bush, should be telling Americans that….

….WE ARE MORE LIKELY TO DIE FROM…..

1.) …..a drunk driver
2.) …..a sober driver
3.) …..influenza
4.) …..a mosquito bite
5.) …..a tick bite
